Hubzilla 5.2 Released!
Undoubtedly the most exciting improvement in Hubzilla 5.2 is the work that has been done on the Files App. Besides that, the
!
and
!!
forum tags have been removed. Also some important bug fixes have been applied along with improvements for some of the addons.
Files AppWhile rename, copy and move functionality was already available via webdav, those features were still missing in the web frontend. Hubzilla 5.2 enables you to rename, move or copy files directly from the web interface. Also the possibility for bulk file actions has been added. As an extra, file categories were implemented along with a flat, per category, view of files. The files app now also supports downloading of directories and bulk files via zip archives. While rewriting much of the code involved, the performance of the Files App could be improved.
The work on the Files App is supported by the NGI0 Discovery Fund. Thank you for that @

Removed forum tagsThe

forum tags have been deprecated in version 5.0 and have now been removed. Please post to a forum by selecting it from the ACL selector - the lock icon in the text editor. Alternatively you can also use the

privacy tag.
BugfixesMost notable here was a bug that prevented synchronisation between directory servers. This bug remained undetected for a long time. Directory servers might experience increased activity due to synchronisation catching up. Some issues were fixed to provide PHP8 compatibility. This work is ongoing.
AddonsImprove the queueworker addon for the postgres DB backend. Pubcrawl has been improved for better compatibility with Peertube.
