There is one subject everyone is talking about right now, obviously. Personally, I want nothing to do with Meta, but there are a few things to consider in this debate:
- ActivityPub is an open protocol that anyone can and may use, like it or not. That's the nature of open protocols.
- Many people have good reasons to be worried, based on earlier experiences.
- With or without Meta you are free to block whoever you want.
- Mastodon is not the only software in the Fediverse.
- ActivityPub is not the only protocol in the Fediverse.
