Booted up an old Arch Linux install because I had some hardware issues. I was having problems with QTerminal and other Qt/LXQt apps were appearing to be slow. The issue with QTerminal was that if I open a new tab it freezes and no mouse action does anything, even outside the program. If I close the tab with Ctrl+D I can get some control over programs outside, but still the terminal does not respond to my mouse clicks.
So I switched to Openbox with
my config and everything's fine now.
